I have downloaded the jar package, but do not know how to start. Do I have to compile the class files. And how?

Simply follow the instructions on http://srcpd4cu.sourceforge.net/ "The application":

"Srcpd4Cu is provided as an executable jar file and can therefore
simply be started as "java -jar srcpd4cu.jar"."

Of course, to be precise, it should be "java -jar srcpd4cu-0.8.jar".
