Got it working in little time on a Linux machine. First tried on a Win machine but couldn't configure the USB port correctly from within srcpd4cu. When using multiple srcp clients that control the same loco, which you shouldn't do really, the server sometimes gives errors and goes into an undefined state. A little restart solves the problem.
