Isn't the message body returned from the IM AP server as part of an array? -- Lewis Bergman Texas Communications 4309 Maple St. Abilene, TX 79602 915-695-6962 |

With luck, this plugin will remove one of the items on the list of things to do... Add "Add sender address to address book" while viewing message This plugin will steal the email address from a message you're reading, allowing you to save time when adding someone new to your address book. It searches the To, CC, From fields as well as the body of your message. There are configuration controls on the Display options page. I would love feedback on this. I am curious if I should move the drop-down list to the "take.php" form instead of having it on the read_body.php page. I would also like to point out a minor typo on the plugins.txt file. The "options_display_sav" should have an e after it. (In the big list of hooks.) One of the things that would make this plugin and the translation plugin a bit nicer is the ability to take the body of the message verbatim, before the tags, before the line wrapping, before the "Download" link is added, before HTML tags (<tt>, for instance) are added. Is this possible easily? |

I wrote a ver simple plugin (ALLBOX) that let you select all the emails in a folder display page, so you can move or delete all emails in only 2 clicks. i have test it in NETSCAPE and IE, and work just fine. i would like you to take a look at it and let me know what you think. i include in the file the plugin and a README with some changes you have to make in squirrelmail code. Let me just say that that plugin is the coolest thing I've seen since the spell checking one. :) But seriously, that is very cool! Thanks for it! For those of you who haven't looked at it yet, if you get an email message in another language, it displays a box at the bottom to translate it to your language (using external programs such as babelfish). Great work!!! > > > I wrote a translation plugin. You might want to take a look at it. I\'d love it if you were to add it to the plugins page. I wrote a translation plugin. You might want to take a look at it. I\\\'d love it if you were to add it to the plugins page. I\\\'m also debating having the web server make the request for you, and show the translated text in a much prettier way. I figure that this works well enough for now. Also, maybe a Dictionary plugin would be nice? Select the server and you can look up a word? Oh, one weird thing I notice. If I want a blank line in a mail message, I need to put two in the textarea. I use Opera (www.operasoftware.com) as my web browser. Any ideas, or is this a bug in 0.5pre1? |

I'm impatient.. :) This release ties to your themes, fixes a small bug, and adds a few features: 1) If the line is too long it will get truncated in "Line with an error" textarea in the form so that you can see where the error is. 2) If the user's browser doesn't support javascript or this feature is disabled, the "Check Spelling" button will not appear. I've been testing it for a while now and it seems to be working pretty smoothly, so I will go ahead and release a working version. This is good enough for the "plugins" page on the site, I think. That's the reason I've done it via JavaScript. I'm accessing the web via a very poor uplink here and every extra trip to the server and back is a pain.. ;) However, I understand that on the Intranet this is not a problem, therefore I will most likely implement a non-JavaScript version as well some time in the future. There other problems with the pure-HTML version of it, though -- I'm not sure I can take the compose form and submit it to the spellchecker, since the "action" property of that form is hard-coded to be the innards of SquiirrelMail and I can't redirect it to the spellchecker, if the spellchecker is a plugin. I would think that the best solution would be to have a hard-coded pure-HTML version of spellchecker in the SquirrelMail, and then have the plugin optionally for users who would rather make one trip to the server instead of several. > This would give people who selected the java address book the java spellchecker > and wouldn't print out the button for those without it. Seems to work very well. hmmm java though. When you think about it, probably the most efficient as far as trafiic I guess. This brings up a question for our task list. We currently have put off spell checking until pspell is implemented in a release version. Do we want to keep that due to its pure html format and speed as a native php4 function or ditch the whole thing for this plugin? On a different note: I wonder: Since java is a per user selection, could we function ispell_setup(){ include("../../src/load_prefs.php"); if ($use_javascript_addr_book == true) { echo "<input type=.........." } } This would give people who selected the java address book the java spellchecker and wouldn't print out the button for those without it. A little more multiuser friendly. I don't know if the above could would work. Also, the selection box in options would need to reflect that the java selection isn't just for the addressbook. ---------- Forwarded Message ---------- Subject: SquirrelSpell v0.1b -- spell checker plugin Date: Thu, 24 Aug 2000 00:44:31 -0500 (GMT+5) From: Konstantin Riabitsev <gr...@re...> Hi, folks: I've written a spellchecker plugin for SquirrelMail. This is a functionality release -- it works for me, tested on MSIE 4.x (win) and Netscape 4.x (linux), but it needs more testing before a release. Requirements: Server: UNIX, ispell. Client: JavaScript-capable browser. Since it uses ispell, the spellcheck is multilingual. The whole interface is built mostly via JavaScript, so it requires a JavaScript-enabled browser. I haven't tested it on Netscape 3.x, but I doubt it will work judging from what I know about it. Otherwise, it should work in most browsers. Please test it and let me know. :) Don't complain about how it looks -- when I'm sure that the functionality works, I will tie it to whatever your current SquirrelMail theme is. OK, here is an import /export that really works. I know. I have said that before. You say " Hey, Lewis. Why should we believe you this time?" To that I say "Blow me". No, just kidding. I made some stupid ommissions last time I changed the name so this fixes them. Thanks to Garrit for finding these. All should be well now. Ghanges: 1. Fixed directory structure problem in setup.php 2. Fixed Table header problem when importing less that 5 fields of data. 3. Added back page headers. 4. Added README file for those interested. -- Lewis Bergman Texas Communications 4309 Maple St. Abilene, TX 79602 915-695-6962 |

I just got .3 of the csv import address plugin, and I believe that there are some like errors. When I click on the button to import or export a file, I get a 404 error: The requested URL /~gpadgham/squirrelmail/plugins/address_book_import/address_book_import.php was not found on this server. When indeed it is true, the problem being that when I unzipped the file, it unzipped itself into the following directory: ~gpadgham/squirrlemail/plugins/abook_import_export/[files] It's not a difficult problem to fix, but just thought it should be noted... :) Further investigation reveals a few more bad links too. :) -- Gerrit Padgham Systems Administrator CommNav http://www.commnav.com |
