I just downloaded and installed the snapshot "squirrel-sql-snapshot-20161227_2119-standard". If I have an open session and want to close it over the contect menu "Close Session" or by hitting CTRL-F6 the session is closed but the session tabs (Objects, SQL) remain open. Any further attempt to close the session tab is not successful. If one afterwards attempts to close the session tab over the 'x' on the tab an error is logged, that the ISession is null (see attached log). The only way to close the session tab now is to close the application itself. The session tabs close as expected when one do it by ckicking the 'x' of the session tab directly or by kicking the mouse middle button (wheel). This providing one has not attempted closing as described above before. It doesn't work either: 1. no icon in gnome-shell 2. cannot open the .ico file with Gnome image viewer. I get the error: "Invalid header in icon". Why not changing to .png? The standards are grand, but between DB2 UDB, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oralce, their market share of almost 100% suggests that it would be wise to support the /**/ comments anyway.

Here is something I found but it didn't make any difference on my Win10 machine.
The solution for applications that do not display correct on 4K screens is to tell the jvm it must NOT run dpi aware. This is done by providing a jvm parameter in the startup script of the java application
-Dsun.java2d.dpiaware=false

Hello Tomas, I had the same frustrating experience when I first got my 4k monitor. Here is what you need to do. I did test and confirm that this works with Squirrel SQL. Download and install the free Resource Hacker program from here: http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/ Start Resource Hacker and open the java.exe file. Mine was located at ‘C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_111\bin’ In the left pane of Resource Hacker expand the Manifest node and select 1:0 Find the section that looks like this: <asmv3:application> <asmv3:windowsSettings xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/SMI/2005/WindowsSettings"> <dpiAware>true</dpiAware> </asmv3:windowsSettings> </asmv3:application> Change the line <dpiAware>true</dpiAware> to <dpiAware>false</dpiAware> Select Action > Modify or F5 to compile the changes. Save the java.exe file. Recently 'turned on' SSL on a MS sqlserver database. I have selected 'SSL' via the alias properties but can not connect. I am able to connect via a command line tool. It takes a while, but fails to connect. What am I missing? Connects fine if SSL is turned off on the database. Thank you for any assistance Geoffrey Myers |

Hi Squirrel-sql-users,
Well I just made a very interesting discovery after doing only my
second sql query.
I did a basic query on the Product table:
SELECT *
FROM PRODUCTS
and guess what? All the records now displayed!
So my question is, why when I opened squirrel each time (and
refreshed the database) and then selected the Products table,
did I not see all the records (only the old records)?
Why did I have to do a query to see all of them?
