Hi,
I just installed the latest SquirreL SQL client version 3.8.1 on Windows 8.1 and when trying to run it, I've got a message related to Java version 8 being the lowest required to run SquirreL SQL, but it also reported that the current Java version installed was 10, which was correct, and it wouldn't start.
It was a bit confusing, obviously :) But after changing the squirrel-sql.bat file, on the line where the JavaVersionChecker is invoked with parameters:
"%LOCAL_JAVA%" -cp "%SQUIRREL_SQL_HOME%\lib\versioncheck.jar" JavaVersionChecker 1.8 9
into
"%LOCAL_JAVA%" -cp "%SQUIRREL_SQL_HOME%\lib\versioncheck.jar" JavaVersionChecker 1.8 10
it started up properly :)
Cheers.
