Does anyone have any references or links to an IAS chart of accounts? I can't find any requirements regarding a chart of accounts at iasc.org.uk. I would be glad to put one together, but I can't see where they require a specific chart of accounts. Thanks, Steve |

Only the form.pm and io.pl files though, because I have no need for the locale or Dutch file changes. There are still formatting problems with 3-page long invoices because the latex commands in the templates specify page-breaks and such. When I try to comment out or remove the page break commands I get the latex errors. Also, the ps output ends right after the "All prices in CDN Funds" line. I tried to comment out the curly bracket in the template and was again met with a latex error. Printing a pdf to screen and saving the output to a file still saves a file named is.pl.html that is a pdf file with no useable content. > > The blank emails are a case of MS Outlook not being able to decipher > BASE64 attachments. Pdf is another story... the invoice saves as is.pl.html from opera. This is a 55KB, 3 page pdf file that is balnk except for a couple lines on page 3. I think some clarification is required. The email is not 'blank' it's just=20 that Outlook, being the brain dead program that it is, doesn't recognize=20 the message correctly. This is not really an SL problem, but of course it=20 gets the blame. And of course Dieter has to make changes for ONE stupid=20 program as opposed to Microsoft actually making things that work with=20 standards. I could go on, but I won't. Sorry, just had to rant a bit there...but I feel much better now! Dieter,=20 Guess the default settings for up to date versions of Outlook (security patches applied) are probably the cause: Attachments that MS considers harmfull are disabled by default (.exe, .vbs et all). It is even possible to set security to maximum, thus disabling=20 ANY attachment from entering the inbox. The new XP firewall might also cause problems. My personal workaround for mails from Linux to Win and vice versa is via MSN / Hotmail. They even scan for viruses for you ;-) Feel free to send any testmails / attachments to drd...@ho... (winxp) AND drd...@ms... I will be happy to compare notes. brackets and slashes are not in the conversion filter and caused a latex error. This is all (?) fixed in 1.8.4 I uploaded an upgrade file for 1.8.3 in the meantime until I release the new code. The blank emails are a case of MS Outlook not being able to decipher BASE64 attachments. I am not sure what it is. I used the old BASE64 code from the Mailer package at CPAN. This works fine for pine and Netscape. It would be nice to have feedback from the community at large if this is just an isolated case or if everyone using MS Outlook has problems with this. I had a discussion over this with Ralph Dorr who experienced the same problem. I had no problems receiving his email attachments but he could not read the attachments from SQL-Ledger nor could he read attachments sent with pine. So, I concluded that this is not in the code but must be something with Outlook. Perhaps a wrong setting or perhaps MS is telling the whole world again you better conform to their standards. Installed tetex-dvips and actually got almost there... I now have a file that is completely gibbled, but I have a file. The invoice is 3 pages long in ghostview. Page 1 starts at the very top of the page... headers I guess, that will overwrite the letterhead. Page 1 text ends about 1/3 or 1/2 way down the page. Page 2 appears to be some tex gibberish (.aux and 2x .tex) and page 3 contains most of the input information from the input form, and is missing most of the end portion discussing terms etc. Page 3 also starts at the top of the sheet and will also overwrite the letterhead. So it's all formatting and such from here, which I have no experience with, so I guess I'll be learning tex, unless someone has gone through this and has a quick-fix? Thanks everyone for your input and help here. Quoting gha...@fr... from [04/04/02 21:40 -0700]: > Hmmm, I don't think I explained that well enough. Hi Julien,
I just installed sql-ledger too.. I found that the following add-on to
the readme would have gotten me through the process:
If you just installed postgresql (as rpm only?) then do:
createuser sqlledger -W
> say yes to both questions and select a password.
edit /etc/rc.d/init.d/postgresql (RH/MDK specific)
so that the pg_ctl gets an extra option "-o -i" to tell postmaster
process to listen on standard tcp port 5432.
edit /var/lib/pgsql/data/pg_hba.conf and add line=20
> host all 127.0.0.1 255.255.255.255 password
(this works if your httpd and postgresql are on the same server
otherwise put your webservers IP instead of 127.0.0.1)
I had done all the other stuff, mentioned in the readme.
After this, I could log in create a new dataset and a user for this
dataset and voila.
I hope it helps..

Hmmm, I don't think I explained that well enough. You
do NOT load/examine/process/... a DVI file with LaTeX.
A DVI file is the result of running LaTeX (or TeX) on
something else (a LaTeX source file).
LaTeX has already been run. You are running into problems
"downstream" of LaTeX. If you don't have dvips, I suppose
one option would be to load that appropriate package onto
your system. However, for the purpose of seeing whether the
DVI file is actually useful, I still think using xdvi to
"view" the DVI file under X11 (which you might know as
KDE, Gnome, IceWM, ...) is the thing to do. If you don't
have xdvi, there is probably a package you can load.
Is this clearer?

...Ahhh... we're actually getting somewhere. :)
Thanks for the directions, they shed some more light on this... it appears I
don't have dvips on this system. Whether or not that has any influence on the
fact that I continuously get a "no /begin{document}" error when loading directly
into LaTex, I dunno...
So, where to go from here?
