Sorry about that,

the invoice file must be called invoice.html and invoice.tex (not
Service-invoice.html/tex).

There should be some templates in the user subdirectory. Or you move
the ones you need there and modify.

[SL] Service Invoice

I just installed  the 2.8.8 Sql-ledger and in the templates directory 
there are many service invoices (both html and tex), but they don't show 
up in the web interface at all.  How would I be able to create service 
based invoices?

Did you set the ownership of /usr/local/sql-ledger/users to your webserver?

Your sql-ledger.conf file (or whatever it's named). Then you'll probably want 
your templates as well, if you modified them.

[SL] More migrating problems

Hello again, Sorry for the last post. I had neglected to install DBI and
DBD-pg. Now those are installed, and I restored the data base using
psgl. I also copied over all the files in /usr/local/sql-ledger/users
over to the new machine. I can get the admin page to come up and it
seems ok. But when I try to log in to the login page, it tells me ERROR!
FATAL: User "myuser" does not exist
I went to the admin page and tried to save my user info again (i.e., I
selected it from the list, and then clicked ``save'' at the bottom of
the page), but it gives me the same ``FATA: does not exist'' message. I
can't figure out what else I have to copy over from the old machine. Can
anyone help?

That would be nice. One way to work around it is to print or email the 
document (either to a dummy printer or dummy email address), iirc that should 
allocate and then display the invoice/order/etc number on the form, then you 
can save/post it.

[SL] Error upgrading...

Ok... so... could have sunk myself here, but its the weekend.. so... go time
for this.  I tried an upgrade from 2.6.14 to 2.8.8 and got this logging in.

Just wondering if anyone else has any input... They have thousands of
customers... Should I be telling them to stop inputing (they have put in a
few hundred so far)  Is it correctable?

Also... Speaking of customers... They have all of them in MYOB.... Any
simple way to get them from MYOB to SL  (actually... Would even accept
difficult way as long as its no worse than manual entry)

Sorry I cannot answer you any clearer... However everything is default,
using Retial setup, do not have any subledgers defined... However... I did
not do anything different that what I did with my own setup, and mine is
fine... (Think the version I am using is a bit older however)

Just wondering... I have a client that is just starting with SL and adding a
Huge number of customers first... however for some reason EVERY customer is
customer #1 ????
 
I even edited on of them to update to customer 12, but when you go back...
they are still number one??
 
Any thoughts?

Umm...  Because it would make statementing a nightmare!  If there was a 
means of grouping customers together for statementing purposes then it 
would be fine, but there isn't.  This is just another item that people 
have been asking for since, essentially, the beginning of time.  Of 
course, the stock answer will be "you have the code make the change".

Hey, why don't you just input the customer 6 times, eg. Water Company #1,
Water company #2, etc. I know it's not ideal, but at least you can get it

I am trying to get SQL ledger to work outside my cgi-bin directory so =
that
the css fils wil work.

I haveinstalled a test script and the server is now excepting cgi and =
perl
files outside the cgi-bin directory. But SQL-Ledger wont start and gives =
the
error as mentioned. I can locate the error I was hoping that teher was =
some
one with the same problem and solution.

SQL-Ledger is working fine within the cgi-bin directory but without the
layout and graphical works.

[SL] One customer, many address's

Just wondering how SQL can have one customer (e.g. the City of Whatever) but
have many shipping address's?
 
In the example, the client sells water, and will sell water to the one
organization, however that org. may have 6 locations to drop off water...
 
How can this be done?
