dear lists,

I have created a new database with sql-ledger 2.8.30 to newly database,
I have dump plain database, and copy data for inserting data for table
contact, customer, vendor, parts
from old database to new empty database,
the reason behind this is I want to cut off my report to new month Sept 2010

but now I can't display the report from AR-Report-Transactions, Outstanding
and all report after its
but I can still see the report from POS-Receipts,

the AR transaction itself can see only in chart of accounts, and I click for
sub detail of Account Receivable Account
in there show the ar transaction that I already input, but not in
AR-Reports-Transaction

I think this is related with import data procedure that I doing wrong way?

please help,

Hi, I am using SQL Ledger for the past 2 months. I am wondering that how the "Queue" function works.

How can i add Sales order or Sale invoice to queue?
i don't have a option for adding the S.O or S.I to queue.Then how to make it function?

Does sql-ledger have good integration with any ecommerce / "shopping
cart" software?

Trying to set up a system that will avoid entering the same data
twice, where one or both of those times are manual.

So, looks like I am still down and out, I have done the chown as below with
www:www and it changes nothing.
I normally only update my SL when forced, and...  I think every time I have
crazy issues, beat my head against the wall and finally figure it out.

I still don't see anywhere on earth with a working VM or VirtualBox image
only broken links.  Does anyone have something they can post?

I am also happy to pay to have it hosted somewhere, but here again any
website that has this service is just a maze of text with no "buy now"
button.

SL has been with me for just about 6 years now...  
If anyone has some tips, I am welcome to hear them...

Error is below, this was after an upgrade to 2.8.30, my hardware linux box
is running SME 7.4 (based on CentOS)  Life was grand before the upgrade,
only upgraded because of the HST, and turns out I didn't need it.

You have the wrong file permissions. Run:

chown -hR <wwwuser>.<wwwgroup> users templates css spool

in the sl-directory, and replace <wwwuser> and <wwwgroup> with the 
correct values for your system. For example on Suse wwwrun.www, on 
Fedora apache.apache

Taxes have a "valid from" date. Entries referring to dates prior to

Hi Jeff,

I think the problem is this list (The sourceforge.net list) has been 
abandoned after Dieter tried to shut it down.  I suggest joining the 
list Armaghan kindly setup.  The links are below - but not the dropbox 
list.  The list has been somewhat active until recently.  The last 
message I've seen on the ledger123 mailing list was from March 7.

   Well, ezmlm just responded that I'm already subscribed, so I imagine that
you moved all current sourceforge.net subscribers to sql-ledger.org. Thank
you. I've altered my procmail recipe so messages to the new address are
delivered to the appropriate alpine folder.

As indicated earlier already we are no longer maintaining any resources 
hosted by SF. The new address for the mailing list is 
sql...@sq... If for some reason you don't get emails

I dont think the reasoning for that particular change has been explained as of 
yet.

I agree that the list is still useable ( aside for the now non-existant 
archives for people to search thru before asking questions ) but it is damned 
annoying :)

   No. We are the users of SQL-Ledger who volunteer our time and expertise to
help other users. For most of the applications I use the developer(s)
participate as they wish in the discussion threads, but otherwise it is a
community effort.

   To extend your analogy, we pay an automobile mechanic to fix our vehicle.
However, we can also fix it ourself, ask friends and neighbors for advice
and help, and work without a visit to the repair shop.

   One identifying characteristic of F/OSS has been community involvement in
support if not development. If that is going away for SQL-Ledger then the
utility of the application will be greatly diminished.
