Would it be possible to make the compare function built in in a excel file so no installation is needed like a macro?
This is a great software but most of us do not have admin rights to use this software to ease our work.

How locked down is you computer. All you need to run successfully is the xla and the ini file, you do not need to run the installer.
If you can copy the xla to 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\XLSTART' and the ini file to 'C:\Program Files\Spreadsheet Compare', it should work.
