Updater window opens every time that Excel is started
My bad. Having trouble with the update scripts. v1.35.2 should fix the issue.
Try v1.35.1 I just uploaded, it removes the ProgressBar requirement.
What version of Excel do you have (2007/10/13 etc.). It should auto detect and install to the correct folder, unless you have some strange install location. The copy in Program Files is there for manual installation. I am working on a work around for the progress bar. May need some more assistance on the other error. I don't have Excel x64 and I know it has caused a lot of issues for the VBA community. Steve
I have added support for the 2016 Add-In location. Hopefully this will fix some issues. Try v1.35.0. Steve
Can you check in the registry if 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\Spreadsheet Compare' exists and points to the correct file. I have checked a new install on my computer and it all looks fine.
Can you check that the 'Update Program.exe' is in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Spreadsheet Compare folder. If it is, run it and see what happens.
I don't have Office 2016 (am stuck on 2010), so I don't know. As far as I can tell...
