Под Windows обновление (cvs update) выдает ошибку из-за наличия каталогов "lib" и "Lib" (ведут в один и тот же каталог при case insensitive).

Не пинайте сильно (давно не пользовал CVS).
А как мне убить папку Lib ? Пока получается
