#231 in outlook xp, hotmail inbox does not filter
i know that this should've been fixed with the latest
latest outlook plugin used. here's the log.

It isn't clear from the log what is failing. There are alot
of exceptions relating to being unable to save the "Spam"
score, but we know we can't do this. The entry:
Message 'Great home advise ' had a Spam classification of 'Yes'
Does imply it is working, and I see no exception relating to
making a copy of the message. I'd like to clean this up
though, and we probably could save the Spam field *after* we
have moved a message into the nominated folder. Are you
able to run from source code?

i'm sorry, i should've explained. i am also running an exchange
connector at the same time. i have it monitoring both
inboxes, and having all spam/unsure spam moved to a folder
in exchange. doesn't automatically filter anything in the
hotmail. but spam in the exchange inbox works, and manually
doing filtering also works.

I have the same "not filtering" issue ocurring in my Hotmail
Inbox of Outlook add-in 007 binary code, but (hotmail's)
Junk Mail box seems to auto-filter fine. There's over 50
unread (mostly spam) emails in my Hotmail Inbox that
SpamBayes should have processed.
I'm not running Outlook Exchange, but I am running Outlook
XP & Windows XP. Filter Actions = Perform All....; Filter
Restrictions = (none selected). Here's my log file (note the
identical exception errors as Jose's (image57) log file):

ok, after much experimenting, i've found that the hotmail
inbox filters randomly on recieve. There has been a time
where i can get it to filter all the time... first time you open
outlook, all new messages gets filtered when you click on
inbox.
secondly, bprimack's problem is because you probably dont
have a local copy of the junk mails synced. i ran thru that
problem when first training. spambayes will only see msgs
downloaded already and will not pull any from the server.
on a tangent, i should be filling out another bug report, but if
HOTMAIL is the only account you have, outlook xp still makes
you have a personal folder open. when you "Recover from
Spam" in the maybe folder, it sends the piece of email to the
personal folder, not back to the hotmail inbox. if i need to do
another bugreport, i will.

Version 008 fixed most of these problems, and all
reports/logs in this bug refer to 007. I'm closing this -
please re-open if the errors persist in 008 or later.
