The sox man page says: "The sample data size is in bytes, 16-bit words, 32-bit long words, or 64-bit double long (long long) words.", and offers corresponding flags -b/-w/-l/-d. Changing the flag from -b to -w doesn't change the file size, however. It seems to be the same amount of information, broken into different sized chunks. So this doesn't seem to be what I'm looking for. I have seen other sound conversion tools which allow both a bit-rate and a sampling rate to be specified during conversion. Is there really nothing like this in sox? Thanks. ~ryan |
