[SoX-users] Initial setup OSX 10.4, recording, SOX 14?

Hey all,
I'm looking to do some command line audio recording through SoX on OSX 
10.4.11, first gen intel macbook. I'm able to do the install just fine, 
but I'm running into an issue when I try to record:
I type:
rec
I get:
rec sox: Sorry, there is no default audio device configured.

Anyone know how I can configure the audio device to allow for input? Sox 
has been the only option I've found so far that looks like it might let 
me do commandline audio recording for OS X.
I specifically need to get a C-Media USB Headphone set working.
