 Use his:


sox infile.ogg output.ogg trim 0 10 : newfile : restart


 Will generate output001.ogg, output002.ogg, ouput003.ogg ,etc....... to ouput_finish.ogg.
The 10 second file are around 120k bytes long.
 I tried this out and it worked  fine except for this warning message:



sox WARN trim: Last 1 position(s) not reached (audio shorter than expected).


 All of the 10 second file sox made worked great.
