[SoX-users] spectrogram to stdout

Hello!

Is there some reason that the spectrogram output in sox does not have
a stdout option? Is it because sox may output other things to stdout
(some info messages)?

In my limited use cases I have not run across this scenario so I was
able to add the feature by adding 4 lines. There is probably a more
elegant/correct way of doing this than what I did. Should I submit a
patch anyways?
