Hi. Sorry, it's me again... Under bash, ~> play -q backing.wav works fine :-) but: ~> play -q backing.wav & doesn't run in the background, it enters Stopped state :-( Strange... I can restart it with "fg %1". I have to resort to: ~> (play -q backing.wav &) to run it in the background. Is there a reason for this ? ( It probably doesn't take long to fork a shell, but in e.g.: ~> (play --buffer 1024 -q backing.wav &) \ > & sox -t alsa mt:4,0 solo.wav it must add something to the latency. ) Peter P.S.
