Your not doing anything wrong. There seems to be a bug I do not understand yet in the coreaudio driver in SoX. On some systems, its working and on others it does not. The seg fault also seems more common on certain OS revisions then others. I'm hoping some day a real OSX developer will step in and debug that code. I was just pretending to be one when I wrote this initial support. :-) Chris On Thu, May 20, 2010 at 2:41 PM, Anders Sätter <and...@co...>wrote: > Hi! > I'm on a macbook running leopard 10.5.6. > When I try to play a .wav-file I get a Segmentation fault and > the file is not played back > > Example: > anders-satters- > macbook-2:rawsnd anders$ /Users/anders/Downloads/sox-14.2.0/sox > granny.wav -d > > Input File : 'granny.wav' > Channels : 2 > Sample Rate : 44100 > Precision : 16-bit > Duration : 00:00:27.31 = 1204224 samples = 2048 CDDA > sectors > Sample Encoding: 16-bit Signed Integer PCM > > In:0.00% 00:00:00.00 [00:00:27.31] Out:0 [ | > ] Clip:0 Segmentation fault > > I have tried versions 14.3.1 (both downloaded binary and built > from macports), 14.3.0 (binary) and 14.2.0, all versions > givning the same result.
