I've been using 14.3.1-rc3 since it came out. As I recall sox has no ugly external library dependencies (like mplayer or ffmpeg), so this ought to be easy to simply place sox on one of my Web sites for you to download for people to use. Or better, they can simply install macports and then say 'port install sox'. I'll watch for sox to release and upload the port file right after.
