I am ready to release 14.3.1 but in last month I've lost access to my
OS X box and have been trying to find a way to recover from that.

I'm glad to hear that your interested in getting the MacPorts version
up to date.  Having that up to date will help if we decide to release
even without an official (non-MacPorts) OS X binary.

Perhaps I can find someone such as yourself to also help generate the
binary that the project distributes?
