The short answer is no, if it sounds okay to you then it's fine for the demo
versions of the songs.  A moderate amount of clipping is in fact quite common
in many spoken word audio arenas.

I'd suggest that you carry on and get your music site up and running, but if
you want, afterwards, you can send me a couple of song snippets and your lector
and I could see if there are any improvements that could be made to the script
and/or SoX for this purpose.
