[SoX-users] Can't record with Sox

Hello,

Records don't work with SoX 12.17.9 on Debian Etch. I don't understand why :
my SoX version is too old ?

I want to record a streaming played by realplayer (playing the streaming
works well because i hear it) with the command << sox  -V  -t ossdsp
/dev/dsp -t wav essai  >> while recording, Sox doesn't print any error and a
no empty file is generated. But when i play the file, there is no sound.
/dev/dsp seems to be the good device to record because when i forbid r/w for
this file and play streaming i hear nothing.

Should i use a later version of SoX ?
