Hi Beren,

Glad to hear it is working well for you. I do not have any problems with
reconnecting the remote after changing batteries, I just change them and
press a button and the remote keeps working as usual. I am not sure if
this can be hardware related. My tips would be:
- Check if your computer is discoverable, that might affect
the remote's ability to connect.
- Check the logs from bluez to see if there is anything there indicating
why it is not connecting after a change of batteries.
- Run hcidump while you try to connect from the remote and see if that
tells you anything.
- Try connecting from the PC while holding the start and enter keys on
the remote (that makes it discoverable, and allows the connection to be
initiated from the PC).

I hope this helps. If not, maybe anyone else has had the same problem
and can give some advice. I have myself switched batteries lots of times
and it always connects back without any issues.

Please note that if you remove and repair the device, you will also
loose any configuration you have done in the application (combo buttons,
sticky buttons, modes etc.). If you want to keep them, make a copy of
the configuration file before you remove the remote, then when you are
done with the repairing you can stop the daemon, copy back the file and
then start the daemon again.
