MPV runs in separate window when option not checked
Free media player with support for Youtube

I have three systems I'm running SMPlayer. Two work perfectly fine, but on one laptop (which has a Celeron CPU) whenever I start a video, MPV launches in a separate window and I haven't been able to determine why. I checked the options and they are identical to the other two systems. The only thing that is different AFAIK is that the laptop that this is occuring on is somewhat underpowered, but I wouldn't think that would cause this behavior.
Could you test if this is fixed if you select a different video output in preferences -> general -> video?
Thanks... if I switch from XV to X11 (Slow) it works properly (doesn't launch a separate window for MPV. Do you know what might be going on? Thanks again.
I can confirm on Debian 9.2.0 default install running as image in VirtualBox 5.0.40 with guest additions 5.0.16. Upon default installation SMtube 17.5.0 AND SMplayer 17.10.2, opening an SMtube link (or a video file from local storage) opens SMplayer first, then opens video in separate mpv player window. This occurs in all video ouput driver selectiosn except "x11 (slow)". When x11 (slow) is selected, video playback is properly embedded in the SMplayer window.
I'm also having the same issue.
SMPlayer Version: 18.6.0 (revision 9075)
MPV Version: 0.23.0
Is your system using X11 or Wayland?
Unfortunately still a thing on Ubuntu 21.10 and SMPlayer 20.6.0. Changing to X11 still helps.
