Micah, Please read the man page: 'man smartctl' carefully. Pre-fail and Old_age do not describe the state of the Attributes, they describe the type of the Attributes. Phil, could you please add this to knowndrive.c? It doesn't need any -v settings. A few minutes of research will probably give a set of equivalent drives of different capacity so 040 will have some other variants?
