** Smart Framework for Object Groups (SmartFrog) ** Open Source Release Announcement HP Labs is pleased to announce the immediate, open source release of the SmartFrog framework. SmartFrog is a technology for describing distributed software systems as collections of cooperating components, and then deploying and managing them. It consists of a configuration language, a runtime component deployment & management system, and a library of components. SmartFrog is released under the LGPL licence, and is implemented in Java to allow broad, cross-platform support.
