Yes, I'm suspending the project for an indefinite span of time. I have several reasons for this, but here are the most important:
**Servers are at a bad time to implement anything new.***
MySQL 4.0.1 has some features that would be really beneficial to the CMS. Unfortunately, this version is not widespread in its implementation. Also, PHP5 has its own feature set that would be very beneficial, but few if any servers have PHP5 installed.... read more
After doing some reading on how SQL caching is done and actually trying it, I have come to the conclusion that it isn't going to happen.
My original intent was to implement ADODB into the CMS. Ok, don't go getting all excited now. This is a very minimal and expectedly buggy release, and it does not use any of the caching features yet.
Read the release notes before downloading to see any special instructions or information.
Please submit any suggestions or changes here as bug reports/feature requests.
Planned for the next dev release is a single, caching MySQL connection, completed news module, and a user profile module.
Well, here it is. SkuddCMS now has a home on Sourceforge.
I apologize for not getting hardly anything done here. I've had a lot going on with work, so this has kinda taken a lower priority at this point.
What I want to see from you, the end-user, is feature requests. If there's any PHP coders out there, feel free to apply to this project by getting in touch with me.
I look forward to seeing your suggestions and requests.
