#1725 recently closed files

Hi,
would it be possible to add an item in the file menu to open the "recently closed files"? Since the last closed files might have been opened not so recently, it might have disappeared in the recent file menu. It exists in web browsers, it should not be too hard to implement and would be super helpful.

Actually, I am still a bit confused about the request. You ask about recently closed files, but not recently, and you agree that there is already a menu with recent files. So what do you want?

thank you for your reply.

sorry my message was not clear.

what I suggest to add: in the file menu a list of the recently CLOSED files, by order they were closed. So it would resemble the recently OPENED files, but obviously files are most often not closed in the same order they are opened. The recently closed files menu would be super useful, for example when you get a little fast and close a couple windows by mistake.

I hope this is clearer but I'd be happy to answer questions.
