#1722 Darker Dark Mode
Not sure if this is the right place to do this, so apologies in advance if its not. But one feature request I have is the ability for Skim to be completely black, as in, midnight black in lieu of the grey/sepia tone setup you have when you go into dark mode. It's a small thing, but the darker you can make the background in my view the better. I have tried manipulating the SK* settings within the hidden preferences but so far through the terminal but so far I haven't had any luck as I think this is system wide. Regardless, great work on the app so far.
Except for the inverted color in the PDF content, the (dark mode) style is provided by the system, so by Apple. We don't influence that, and we certainly should not try to override that.
You can achieve that by modifying NSGraphics_SKExtensions.m file. I am not sure how I can submit the pull request on sourceforge

That is about inverted colors in dark mode, not dark mode per se. But maybe the original poster was not clear in his request.
If it is about inverted colors, this is also deliberately closed, as we deliberately don't make it very dark, which BTW was another feature request. We cannot make everybody happy, and the current one IMHO is much better than making it completely black (or much darker) for the large majority of users. If you want to make it darker, you could turn on Increase Contrast, but that of course comes with many more changes.
BTW, the numbers in the attachment are really wrong, you changed the wrong numbers.
