I've seen that the request to select multiple annotations and edit them as a unit (change color, move, etc) is not possible. However I did not see a ticket requesting that when selecting a color for a specific action, for example highlighting, that the color remains the same for the next annotation without automatically defaulting to the original settings.

I highlight with multiple colors and to have to click on each section and change it to the desired color after making the highlight is slightly obnoxious. It'd save so much time being able to click the green color (with out having to change my preferences) make a few highlights in green and then click another color to make a few other highlights in a different color. Instead the only way I have found to make multiple highlights in a color that is not the default is to change the color of each selection individually, which I reiterate, is quite annoying with the amount of highlighting I do in my documents.

This would also be a nice feature to add to other annotations (making lines, shapes, etc.) when I select the tool "circle" and then select the color green I'd like all the circles i draw to be green instead of having to change each one individually or alter the preferences every time I want a new color.

This sure is a duplicate. And this is not possible. It is either one way or the other, and this is the way we do it. (And both leads to annoyances for some users.) It is not possible to do both.
