Summary:

The response of skim slows so typing response is delayed by seconds.

Detailed Description:

Overview:

While editing a large note in Skim the response of the application becomes slowed to the point that typing is delayed for many seconds.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open included document
3. Zoom document to cover most of screen (13 in screen)
2. Go to page 388
3. Open Note for editing
4. Expand note to cover 3/4 of the page
5. Begin adding text after NOTE: 
6. Continue typing quickly for about 50 to 100 characters

Actual Results

1. CPU rose to 100%
2. The typed text appeared in the note one character at a time at a very slow pace

Expected Results

Text should appear in the note in near real time.

    I guess we shouldn't make the text field transparent then, as PDF drawing can be very inefficient. Should be fixed in the next release.
