I read and highlight PDFs on my iPad, then open them with Skim and convert the highlights to Skim notes. In some of the PDFs, this results in the highlights being visually shifted to the right and upwards, so that the do no longer highlight the words, but the space in between lines.

Steps to reproduce:

- load file https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/255214/pre.pdf
- convert to Skim notes
- save file
- reopen file (should then look like https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/255214/pre.pdf\)

This is a result of PDFKit saving the PDF, which messes up the bounds of the page. Unfortunately we cannot fix that, as it's Apple's code (and therefore their bug.) When you see it, you can fix the problem by first exporting with embedded notes, and then convert the notes in the result.

OK, found a way to correct PDFKit's offset mania.

Nice, will it already be fixed in the next nightly build?

sorry, did not realize that there are no nightly builds for Skim (I assumed because Bibdesk has them...
