In the last days I’ve experienced severe problems with Skim, problems which may relate to my recent upgrading of either Mac OS X Tiger, Skim, or both.
Everything in Skim works fine, except for notes (stickies and geometric shapes):
When in normal view, the program slows completely down when I try to add a note, and most often I have to force quit it.
In full-screen mode, adding notes works OK, but as soon as I move the mouse to the right edge of the screen, and the list of notes appears, it starts slowing down again (and while the drawer is opening, it does list all the notes, but as soon as it is fully open, only one element shows up).
When I add a note in full-screen mode, then press esc to leave that mode, a black block is chopped out of the picture, with the rest of the full-screen image remaining. This is a bit hard to explain, so I include a screenshot of it.
I have no idea what is happening, but it sure vexes me!

Something is wrong in the Spanish localization. This is apparently a consequence of a bug in Apple's latest version of nibtool. Until this is fixed, you could try to delete the Spanish localization. Delete (or rename) the folder Skim.app/Contents/Resources/Spanish.lproj. Or build from the current source if you have Xcode.

Thank you VERY much!
It now works as it should.
Hope you fix the Spanish version soon…
