Keybinding issue?

I use the Version 1.5.10 (126) and open two (or more) PDF files. When I press CMD-< or CMD-> on my Mac, I usually switch to another open window (German system wide UI settings). I believe since Skim 1.5.10 this does not work anymore inside Skim, instead it highlights the menu bar "Gehe zu" (go to?) The sub menu "Schrittmachergeschwindigkeit" at the bottom has the commands "Schneller" (faster) and "Langsamer" (slower) bound to CMD-> and CMD-<.

The system wide shortcut for switching windows is CMD-< and CMD->, so in my opinion these shortcuts should not be used for "Schrittmachergeschwindigkeit" (whatever that is in English)

Schrittmachergeschwindigkeit is "Pacer Speed" in the English UI.

Is this a standard shortcut for German settings, or one yoy chose? For me
the standard shortcut for window switching is different.

Looks like the German keyboard layout uses Cmd-> and Cmd-< for window switching, unlike most keyboard layouts.

Not sure what other shirtcuts are available, as shortcuts involving +- are already taking, and also Alt-Cmd->< is taken on German keyboard layouts.

          (Not really adding anything useful)

As far as I can see this (CMD-< and CMD->) is not an official shortcut (not listed in https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT201236) but the default on a new installation of at least up to mac OS 10.15.4 (Catalina).

I don't know of any good free shortcuts :-(

Perhaps CMD-ALT-< and CMD-ALT-> but I am not good at finding useful shortcuts,

I assume that alt-cmd-> is already taken on your keyboard layout, because for me the corresponding one using backtick is. (Look in the Tastatur system preferences under Kurzbefehle > Tastatur.)

Perhaps for now you could change the Skim shortcuts in your System preferences. Add Skim to the App-Tastaturkurzbefehle in your Tastatur preferences, and add alternative shortcuts for Schneller and Langsamer.

Using the alternative keybindings for "Schneller" and "Langsamer" brings back the CMD-< and CMD->. Thank you very much.
