Probably there is nothing we can do about this. Because they are drawn by
Apple's PDFKit, so we don't control this. I am not even sure wether they
should rotate, Apple apparently decided not.
Also Preview often seems to use their own private non complying
annotations, especially the "text" annotations, which are a hack.

All annotations (Note/Free-Draw/Line/circle). Thumbnails looks
fine(annotations are rotating on thumbnail).

If it is the 10.13 beta than this is a bug in that beta. Not Skim. You
should report this to Apple, not us. Only they can fix this, we cannot fix
their bugs.

Unfortunately we cannot do anything about and with the extra anchored note
artefact, it should not be there in the first place, and there is no way to
remove it or know where it is. So the rest seems to work ok now.

Looks like yet another pdfkit bug in 10.12 then. Only Apple can fix that.
I am using 10.13 Beta.

Apparently Apple is not able to make a new OS version without adding new
bugs to PDFKit. They never have.

This looks like it's fixed in the actual 10.13 release.
