Yes, sf.net now is mirror and archive for 7-zip files.
But there is no write-to-read delay at sf.net.
I just upload files to sf with delay after uploading to 7-zip.org.

Ansver to Shell on to post

No, thank you, but still respectable office, I am not, and even if I get fired from work there just do not go to work - we have them think differently enough. :)

    NSIS for test

1 ButtonEvent.dll has no file size
2 After unpacking the files have the following sizes:
    ButtonEvent.dll - 4096
    nsDialogs.dll - 9728

Uncompressed size of last file in solid NSIS archive is unknown before full unpacking. Same thing for 7-zip NSIS installers.

7-Zip at first stage knows only starting positions of files in solid NSIS archive (reading from script file).
7-Zip reads real uncompressed size value when it unpacks files.
In case of nsDialogs.dll, probably there is some file (or files) that is stored in data stream, but 7-Zip didn't see the reference to that "hidden" file in script data.
Now I don't see simple way to fix the problem.
Possible way - is making full unpacking before listing operation.
But it can be slow for big archives.

Libraries shown in the screenshot does not have a stamp date\time, but after extracting it they have - 29.04.12 07:04
Where does the time and date?

If timestamp of some file is not stored in archive, 7-Zip uses timestamp of archive.

    Hi Igor,

btw. are you signing 7-Zip releases? I have identified that this release is not digitally signed. Is that on purpose because of the beta or did never sign your releases?

    Thanks

7-Zip installers do not use signatures.

    hi

I am trying unpack ".qcow2" image to a directory. I used below command

    7z -y x output.qcow2 -oextracted

But looks like 7zip is mounting to /dev/sda3. Is it possible to unpack to a directory instead of mounting to a partition?

there is no "mount" feauture in 7-zip.
      7-Zip unpacks ext partition inside qcow2 .
The following command unpacks only top-level:

      7z -y x output.qcow2 -oextracted -t*

I have you almost same command except the options -t*. Does this option prevent extracting to /dev/sda3?

If there is no /dev/sda3 in command that you call, then 7-Zip has no any relation with that /dev/sda3. 7-Zip doesn't know about /dev/sda3.
If you think that something doesn't work as you expect, write more details about problem.

I am trying to extract qcow2 file using below commands.

Top level is an image file. Extracted using below command.
            7z -y x file_name.img -ofile_name.img_extracted

Top level extracted successfully. Inside the img, there are 2 files.

            1. readme.json
            2. output.qcow2

I tried extracting inner archive output.qcow2 using the command
            7z -y x output.qcow2 -ooutput.qcow2_extracted.

            I am getting below error

            ERROR: Can't allocate required memory!

I verified the memory. My server has 16 TB of available space. After debugging I found that, extraction is happening to /dev/sda3.

Some blogs told that there might be lesser RAM. But my server is a 40GB RAM. Qcow file is around 50GB.

I also tried some switches as per some blogs like -mx=9
            7z -y x -mx=9 output.qcow2 -ooutput.qcow2_extracted.

              What version of 7-zip ?
if you use old v16.02, then try new v23.01 instead from here:
              https://7-zip.org/download.html

if new version still shows error, try the commands:

              7z l output.qcow2 -t* > list1.txt
              7z l output.qcow2 > list2.txt
