Serius was acquired and technically kept as a solely owned subsidiary
by Novell.
When Network Multimedia was formed I think that that was essentially
selling off the
Serius subsidiary. I remember talking with Ed about this at the time.
We could have
gone back to the Serius name, if we wanted to. Ed didn't want to.
With the bankruptcy of Network Mutlimedia, the assets went back to
Novell. Which was
primarily the code. We only had a license to it anyway.
I don't know if the trademarks and other rights went back as well.
The rights to the Serius name may still reside with Network Multimedia
and Ed Firmage.
