Hey Gregory, that is indeed interesting news! Glad to hear that Case Western can use som= e=20 of my current work -- I have been doing part of my own MSc there! :-) I also had a look at your graph extension. I was wondering what to do with = the=20 returned graph. It has spacial coordinates, so could it be plotted somehow?= =20 In principle, it would also be possible to extract a similar graph from the= =20 RDF export (which already is a different representation of a very similar=20 graph). RDF export can be recursive and inlcude backlinks, so you could=20 obtain a reasonable "surrounding" of some article. On the one hand, this=20 restricts you to the display of typed links, but on the other hand you woul= d=20 also get a useful relation for each link and find additional attributes of= =20 each node. It might indeed be interesting to use RDF as an (alternative) output format= ,=20 because there are tools for displaying RDF graphs, and one could even hack= =20 one to use geographical positions as a guideline for layout. The Python Geo-API is also cool. Denny, our main Python hacker, is also qui= te=20 delighted :-) You mentioned that you did not use the Geographic Coordinate= =20 support from SMW in CASE-wiki since it contained some bugs. What are these?= =20 It should accept at least those inputs that the mapsources extension can=20 take, and it provides some additional direct links to online maps (which ca= n=20 be configured easily through the code).
