Dear all, In PHP, when formatting a result row, is there a way to know the "owner" of a value returned by a chain printout (e.g., ResultArray), that is the title of the page, in which this chain value has been set? I.e., for ?relation1.property2 get the name of the target of relation1? Alexander Mashin |

The query ended up with 'Expression error: Unrecognized punctuation character "[".'. I've googled a bit and found there's some option I could add '|import-annotation=true' to the #ask, but this ended up in another error: 'Expression error: Unrecognized word "ul". '. Oh oops, yes I made 3 brackets of course! I found a way. It's a little a dirty one but it works. However it'll be inefficient since you need to do two queries: {{#ifexpr: > 0 | }} Thanks everyone for having those cool tips, that helped me to get deeper into the topic! I know this is all very "hacky" but my last 2 suggestions: • Trying adding "|valuesep=+" so you don't have to worry about having it in your template and adding the 0. • Try to condense onto one line. Sometimes these functions can't handle line breaks or too many spaces. Beyond that I'm out of tricks 😄 Cheers, Jeremi On Mar 14, 2024 at 11:02 PM +0100, Dominik Maus <do...@we...>, wrote: > That failed, too. > > Am 14.03.2024 um 23:00 schrieb Jeremi Plazas: > > Try adding "link=none" > > > > Cheers, > > > > Jeremi > > On Mar 14, 2024 at 10:59 PM +0100, Dominik Maus <do...@we...>, wrote: > > > I tried feeding it to but it failed. > > > > > > Basically I did the following: > > > > > > > > > > > > The template simply returns '+0', that's why I added the 0 > > > after the expr call (dirty, I know, just for the test). I tried feeding it to but it failed. Basically I did the following: The template simply returns '+0', that's why I added the 0 after the expr call (dirty, I know, just for the test). The query ended up with 'Expression error: Unrecognized punctuation character "[".'. I've googled a bit and found there's some option I could add '|import-annotation=true' to the #ask, but this ended up in another error: 'Expression error: Unrecognized word "ul". '. This is far from my smw knowledge at all, I have no idea what's behind those errors. Any suggestions? Greetings, I am having multiple values in a single property per page but can't seem to find a good way to count those. I know of Extension:Arrays but it got mentioned that the extension will not work in future MediaWiki releases, so I am looking for alternatives. SMW Result format 'count' isn't what I am looking for since this only returns the page count, not the property values count. What I wanted to do is: This should be queried somehow and result in 3. Thanks! |

Hi all, I am struggling with an issue of the DisplayTitle extension that was already discussed at SMWCon 2023 and therefore proposed for MediaWiki Hackathon 2024 (https://www.semantic-mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki_Hackathon_2024). The problem is that titles set by are ignored by the autocompletion of the search field. Instead, the actual titles are considerated. I recently set up two SMWs with the same configuration. In case of the first one, autocompletion works fine (see http://stammbuch.ub.uni-giessen.de/). The second one shows the original titles among the autocompleted values (see http://bildarchiv.ub.uni-giessen.de). Also, the call of is the same in both SMWs: {{#if:{}| {{#set:Sachtitel={}}} {{DISPLAYTITLE:{}}} }} I know that this is an open issue with no solution yet but though I would like to ask if anyone in this list knows a workaround or maybe a hint for solving this problem. Thanks in advance and kind regards, Michael --- Michael Freiberg University Library at the University of Gießen Otto-Behaghel-Str. 8 D-35394 Gießen Tel. +49 (0)641-9914101 Fax +49 (0)641-9914009 mic...@bi... http://www.uni-giessen.de/ub |

Greetings, MediaWiki users and developers! We are now accepting contributions for the 2024 MediaWiki Users and Developers Conference [0], which will be held April 17-19 in Portland, OR, USA. The deadline to submit a proposal is March 22. Sign up as soon as possible at [1]. This will primarily be an in-person conference, however we will consider remote presentations on a case-by-case basis. The first two days of the conference will be reserved for presentations. The third day of the conference will be a Create Camp, which will include tutorials, hands-on presentations, and small group hacking sessions. The MediaWiki Users and Developers Conference, formerly EMWCon, brings together the community that makes up MediaWiki – those who develop for MediaWiki, those who deploy MediaWiki, and those who use MediaWiki and are enthusiastic about the software. MediaWiki is used every day in a variety of contexts – educational projects, corporate knowledge bases, even online hobbyist communities – all valuing MediaWiki for its flexibility and its openness. By meeting together we can learn from our experiences and continue to build a true community of support for MediaWiki. After upgrading MW from 1.35 to 1.40.1, SMW (from 3.0.0.+ to 4.1.2) and SRF (from 3.1.0+ to 4.0.2), this no longer works: and produces a blank, white rectangle does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks so much.
