Ah, I see, sounds interesting.  The addition of boost is relatively
new... you may want to look at r41 in lp:ion.  It's the revision in
which I introduced Boost.  Before that I used hand-rolled code, which
might be easier for you to extract.

Also, note that there are unit tests for Deferred in Ion, so you
should be able to learn something from them (of course, nothing
replaces trying things yourself and getting your hands dirty).
