So here's the scenario: * Initiator is banging away happily on SCST to a LUN that the backing store, a scsi disk connected via fibre channel. * SCSI disk is shared via fileio. * The cable connecting SCST to the backend storage gets unplugged by someone haplessly trying to clean up a server room. SCST at this point OOPSes (a log is attached). What's the best change to detect and deal with this? As you can see from the log we get back an error of EIO from readv(). Would it be cleanest to just remove the device totally once it's removed from the system? That would at least make some sense, and would prevent crashing the SCST box. - Nathaniel Clark |
