I have had a chance to test the new code with our servers - at first I ran into severe problems under load, which were fixed by using the latest QLA25xx firmware. openSUSE ships 8.6.0, leading to severe "scst: TM fn ABORT_TASK/0" errors on the target side. Using the latest 8.7.0 firmware from QLogic on the SCST servers, I got the some configuration to work nicely. You may want to update the QLogic target driver howto accordingly (currently it just states "It is strongly recommended to use firmware version 5.x or higher for 24xx/25xx adapters."). >> PS: The mvsas module bailed out with the following error, which >> doesn't seem to be related to the kernel version: [ ... ] > > Sorry but I'm not familiar with the mvsas driver ... me neither, nor do I use it. I just mentioned it for completeness sake - it someone wants to use this with openSUSE Leap 42.3, (s)he better be prepared for some code fixes. For me, it's a "case closed" - our servers are now updated and working. Thank you! Regards, Jens |
