There should be no data corruption as vmware will test for the support of ATS when creating a datastore. It's also not possible to switch to VAAI for an existing datastore, you will have to recreate it. I have never seen VMWare list hardware acceleration as supported when connecting to scst. And for me it has always performed as expected. -Sietse -----Original Message----- From: Marko Kobal [mailto:mar...@ar...] Sent: Monday, October 29, 2012 15:15 To: Bart Van Assche Cc: scst-devel Subject: Re: [Scst-devel] SCST for production Hi, I've done the "make debug2perf" and re-make all of the necessarily modules. I've also disabled VAAI in the ESXi hosts, now all is fine, messages disappeared from the logs. Something as important as the possibility of data corruption when using VAAI with ESX+SCST should definitely be mentioned in the documentation. Anyway, so far I'm very satisfied, I've switched over from IET which has serious problems when running multiple VM's in moderate to high load ... I hope SCST can do better ;) Developers of SCST, keep up the good work!
