Unable to start Amavis
All this happened as of what I can figure out from the logs 1/1-2016
I have tried various settings and variables in trying to restart amavis but no luck.

it happened just after debian update/upgrade.
after I tried scrollout update, :
Loading capability module if not yet done.
Starting Quagga daemons (prio:10): zebra.
Starting Quagga monitor daemon: watchquagga.
amavisd is not running ... failed!
Starting amavisd: amavisd-new.
Stopping amavisd:
It stops here during upgrade..
update:
Starting amavisd: amavisd-new.
Stopping amavisd: amavisd-new.
Starting amavisd: amavisd-new. Update done.
/var/www/bin/update.sh: line 48: f1/www/bin/roll.sh: No such file or directory

Im running a VmWare, Debian7.9.
I am unable to start amavis and spamassasin, getting the same error permission denied.
I have done some checking and in the security i can enable every function exept for Connection filter it must be on 10 (permissive) to let mail in to us. if I change it to 9 or less ALL incoming mail get stuck in the filter.
Alert is flashing red on AMAVIS and telling me to update SP and restart amavis.
But that cant be done since I get the permission denied.
I have seen the Possibly Berkley DB error flahing by aswell.
The problem now with the permissive setting are that we get tons of spam from outside that masks themselves as to be sent from within the company, ie a user gets a spam mail from them selves.

Hi,
Since last week something happened and Amavis wont start and when I tries to manually start it in Debian I get Permission Denied.
The logs are:
Jan 8 08:53:43 mailgw postfix/error[26938]: 3pcGs32YFszBs9T: to=xxxx@xxx.com, relay=none, delay=0.08, delays=0.08/0/0/0, dsn=4.4.1, status=deferred (delivery temporarily suspended: connect to 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]:10024: Connection refused)
Is there a way to temporarily release the stored mails, since ALL incoming mails are stopped.

OK, managed to requeue the database with postsuper -r ALL
So all recipients got their mail.
Set the quarantine to 5/999/999 (test mode) just to get mail through.
But how do I delete the database that is increasing currently at 9.9Gb and only 22 mails in detention.

Any workaround ? I just made a fresh install.
I get the AMAVIS alert flashing red after the upgrade.
