Hi, I am a Linux newbie who have run ScrolloutF1 for a number of months with success but for the last couple of weeks I often get a "BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for" a number of seconds ... on my monitor, I have used a ScrolloutF1 image complete with all OS and modules needed.
When the error message is shown the server gets unresponsive, the web server does not respond ... and the server runs in a VMWare Workstation 12 Player environment. More virtual servers are run in parallel environments in the same hardware without any issues.
Please, any advice?
Kindly,
Anders

I suspect we are having a similar isue. ESXi, Debian 8. Getting a hard lock and 100% CPU usage.
We run heaps of other Debian 8 VMs without issues, it is just this specific one that is locking up every couple of weeks.
Perviously it has been stable, but not so much anymore.
VM has lots of resources (6GB Ram, 2vCPU etc).
Hi, have you tried to remove one of the vCPU's? Did it for me ...
