Well, swengus is a funny trainer.  Its actually number 5 on my list of top
ranks but gives me the highest message when talking to him.  This is because
it takes into account your regia and balthus ranks plus the balance points
you get from evus, atkus, and darkus.  Its be sick if I had actually put
800+ ranks into just the one trainer.  =)

So say swengus is 50% balthus and 50% regia (not its real breakdown, just
used to illistrate).  You train 200 regia and 200 balthus and no other
training.  If you then go talk to swengus, he'll give you the 400 rank
message.  

A few other trainers work like that too.  Evus and eva do and balthus's
message figures in the balthus gained from atkus and darkus.
