Can I get an option in the prefs dialog called "Scribus 
compatibility" or something like it?

Here's why: Scribus has some scanning bugs that I found by comparing 
our output to its. One is that "short" disconnects (when you get a 
"welcome back" message or something) don't reset your shares - but 
Scribus does, so its sharing times are off. Until now, I've 
reproduced this bug, to be as close to the Scribus output as 
possible, but this should really be changed.
