i pulled the MacCVS Pro sources today and noticed they included MoreFiles with the distribution. intrigued i looked at the MoreFiles ReadMe and found this: "You may incorporate this sample code into your applications without restriction, though the sample code has been provided "AS IS" and the responsibility for its operation is 100% yours. However, what you are not permitted to do is to redistribute the source as "DSC Sample Code" after having made changes. If you're going to redistribute the source, we require that you make it clear in the source that the code was descended from Apple Sample Code, but that you've made changes." so apparently it's ok to redistribute the source as long as you either a) didn't change it or b) made it clear in the source that you've made changes. maybe we can distribute the MoreFiles 1.5 package with the Scribia source package. this would ensure that we can keep a working MoreFiles package with the source at all time, even when switching CW versions and such. (for example i'm not sure that Pro 5 includes MoreFiles 1.5, which means that someone with Pro 5 could not compile Scribia, even if he/she updated the Pro 5 project to match the latest modifs.) -- charles lechasseur - da...@sy... http://www3.sympatico.ca/danov/marathon/ "The butts of evil are awaiting my bootprints!" - Minsc |
