No. A "Scheme for programmers" text is a rather different concept to a 
cookbook. They'd probably complement each other well.

Unresolved copyright questions and the shame of not using scheme. (I 
don't know if that's enough to stop it, but they're the main reasons 
not to.)

That's another reason. Even some PLT users really hate gratuitous []s, 
you know?
