1) I was hoping that the first version of the Render package is done :) 2) the feedback we received last time was a request for primarily typos and formatting changes. 3) The specification was written and re-written twice now. to adapt for the format changes required by the editors. The current draft spec was brought out primarily by Sarah and me, with large parts of the text still stemming from the original version. 4) there are two complete implementations with COPASI and SBW ... as well as software support in and outside of libSBML and JSBML.
